I was born in Scotland, lived and was schooled there up to age 16 when I moved south to live in Blackpool, moving to the Greater Manchester area some 3 years later and have lived there since.
 
Married in 1989 and separated in 2006, divorce pending. Father to 2 daughters, my younger girl is aged 14, tragically my elder daughter was killed in a car accident in August 2007.
 
I have worked in the Accountancy and Taxation profession since 1980, starting up and selling 2 businesses and diversified slightly in 2003, developing a specialist Tax Consultancy service, working with sportsmen, which expanded extremely quickly to a turnover of £500,000 employing 12 staff at the point where my ex wife and I separated. This business was signed over to my ex wife and I commenced trading again as a sole trader in 2006.
 
I have many hobbies, mainly revolving around sport. I watch and enjoy most sports and I play golf and tennis for leisure. I also enjoy swimming and I play football regularly for a veterans football team.I enjoy computers and spend a significant amount of time on the internet. I also enjoy watching tv and socialising
 
I am well travelled having holidayed in many different parts of the world. Countries travelled to include, France, Spain (including the Canary Islands), Germany, Tunisia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, Australia, Mexico and the Caribbean.
